Phillip Hoose’s original songs have been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition and Weekend Edition. Several of his songs, including ones written with his daughter Hannah Hoose, have been published in Sing Out Magazine and Rise Up Singing. Phil is a founding member of the Children’s Music Network, an international organization of hundreds of children’s musicians and artists.

Hey, Little Ant

“Hey, Little Ant,” the song written by Phil and his then nine-year-old daughter Hannah Hoose, become the bestselling children’s picture book of the same title. Available in ten languages, the book has sold over one million copies. Listen to and share the song.

“Delaware Bay Blues” was composed by Phil while working with shorebird volunteers and scientists on research for his acclaimed book Moonbird: A Year on the Wind with the Great Survivor B95. Listen to and share the song.

Chipped Enamel

Phil and his wife Sandi Ste. George are proud members of Chipped Enamel, a Portland, Maine-based band whose songs, often original, are heard at rallies, benefit concerts, festivals, and other venues.
